Clare Durtnall-Holland Being a professional nail artist and beauty therapist has been an amazing journey. Over the past sixteen years I have sought ultimate teachers to help hone my skills, ensuring I give only the very best nail and beauty services possible and now I am also able to pass my knowledge and experience on to future Nail Artists and Beauty Therapists. I have won ‘Nail Professional of the Year’ 1998, 2000 and 2008 at the British Beauty Awards and reached the finals each of the six times I have entered. I have judged at many nail and beauty competitions including the British Beauty and Spa Awards and The Clothes Show Live. Having used many product lines and travelled around the UK and US to train with the best tutors, I have a wealth of knowledge on how different products perform and so the products I have now chosen for Perfect Elegance treatments and services, in my opinion, produce amazing results and this is what I want for my clients and students.I have written articles about nails and beauty for local magazines 'Wellbeing' and 'ETC' as well as a website called ‘In2Town’and national and trade magazines too. I want to inspire and enthuse others to be bigger, better and different. Joanne Roe I joined Perfect Elegance in April 2007 and having never worked in any area of the beauty industry, I had a very limited knowledge. I joined as receptionist initially but soon got the bug for wanting more. I trained in manicures and pedicures in the October of 2007, then furthered my skills with nail enhancements in January 2008. For the last two years I have worked extremely hard in combining bringing up two children as a single mum and putting many hours into my work as a nail artist. I have trained in four of the biggest product lines – Jessica, China Glaze, Creative and the best one of all Entity. Through using these lines I have gained so much as their education is second to none. It has then been down to me to practice every spare moment I could find to hone my skills to where they are now. I was recently placed second at The Clothes Show Live – ‘Nail Technician’ of the year competition and am extremely pleased with this as this was my very first competition entry and I look forward to seeing where I may come in future competitions. I set myself very high standards and goals and aim to provide my clients absolute perfection in the service they receive. I also help out with training new recruits and enjoy this very much as it challenges my own knowledge and skills to be in tip top order.I am madly passionate about my work. I believe there is ‘Always’ room for improvement and I will continue to learn through any way I can to further myself personally and professionally. I LOVE MY JOB!
